1. Who we are

Empire Support Management ("Empire", "we", "us") is a PSIRA-registered security services company (PSIRA #1138798) based in Cape Town, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us through this website:

• Quote and enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address, the service and area you're interested in, your property type and any details you add.
• Careers questionnaire: your name, phone number, email address, the position you're applying for, your PSIRA registration number and grade, firearm competency, experience, availability, driver's licence status, the areas you can work in and any experience you describe.

We do not ask for ID numbers, banking details or other special personal information through this website.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or proposal.
• To assess your job application and contact you about suitable positions.
• To keep a record of our communication with you.

We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information only where needed to run this website and respond to you:

• Web3Forms, the service that delivers form submissions from this website to our email inbox.
• Our email provider, where your submission is stored as an email.
• Authorities such as PSIRA or the South African Police Service, only where the law requires it, for example as part of officer vetting.

Some of these service providers may store information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries: for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the duration of our relationship and any legal record-keeping period.
• Job applications: for up to 12 months, so we can contact you about future positions, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

6. How we protect it

Submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and are accessible only to the Empire staff who need them to respond to you. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to prevent loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your information.
• Object to us processing your information.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.

To make a request, email enquiries@empiresupport.co.za. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

8. Cookies and website tools

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
